Linda Marie Baughman, daughter of Ora Dean and Freda Fay Carrico was born July 21, 1949 in New Virginia, Iowa and passed away peacefully at her home in Bondurant, Iowa on April 8, 2024. Linda's journey through life was defined by dedication, perseverance, and love, leaving behind a legacy that will forever inspire those who were fortunate enough to know her.

She valued education, graduating from I-35 High School in 1968 and later pursuing her education thru computer training classes to enhance her work skills.

She was united in marriage to Michael "Mike" Baughman on March 7, 1971 in New Virginia and two children blessed this union.

Linda's professional career with the State of Iowa was a testament to her strong work ethic and determination. Starting as a mail room attendant, she climbed the ranks over the years to become an IT Analyst for the Iowa Department of Human Services, retiring in 2012 after forty-two years of service.

Beyond her professional achievements, Linda found joy in various hobbies and interests. She was passionate about sewing, crafting, and creating and collecting porcelain dolls. Shopping was another favorite pastime, especially when shared with her girls. Linda's unwavering support extended to her family, always cheering on her grandchildren at their dance competitions and various other activities.

As a member of the Bondurant Mothers Club, Linda embraced community involvement and cherished the bonds created during her children's formative years.

Linda was preceded in death by her father, mother, paternal grandfather, Ora Carrico, paternal grandmother, Mabel Estella Carrico and her step-mother, Mildred "Darlene" Carrico.

She is survived by her loving husband, Mike Baughman, children, Staci Baughman and Jamie Baughman both of Bondurant, grandchildren, Darius Thomas, Aaliyah Brown, William Brown, Joseph Baughman, Cheyenne Baughman and Cayden Baughman; great-grandchildren Stella and Brayden Baughman; , siblings Larry (Connie) Carrico of Murray, Shirley Snell (Dwayne Mercer) of Osceola, Donnie (Kris) Carrico of Murray and Jimmie Carrico of Des Moines, along with nieces, nephews, and many dear friends.

Services to honor Linda's life will be held at Kale Funeral Home on Friday, April 12, 2024 at 2:00 P.M. with a visitation scheduled for Thursday, April 11, 2024 with the family greeting friends form 5:00-7:00 P.M. For those unable to attend in person, a live stream of the service will be available on Linda's tribute wall. Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association in remembrance of Linda.

Linda Marie Baughman's spirit will continue to shine bright in the hearts of those who knew her, as her kindness, strength, and love leave an indelible mark on all who had the privilege of crossing paths with her. May her memory be a source of comfort and inspiration during this time of loss.
