The following transcribed notes are from a photocopy of the original sent to Author of the original written by Harrison Kellar and came from the files of Lucy Jo Smith Colby. [All spelling, capitalization, punctuation and formatting are as were found in the original.]
Harrison Kellar and Catharine Ann Miller was married March the 12th 1840 (Morgan Co., OH] at fifteen minutes past nine oclock p.m. by Ery Dudley
And moved home on th 7th day of April And our first [illegible] was a son [James Henry Kellar] - was born Sunday March the 7th 1841 at twenty minuts after nine oclock p.m. and he died on the Friday night of the 21st of May at twelve oclock of the same year. The sermon was preached by Mr [illegible] from the 18th chap of Mathew and [illegible] the first hymn was [illegible].
Our second was a son [John Francis Kellar] at 5 am was born August Wednesday the 10th 1842 at half after five in the morning
Our third was a son [Friend Miller Kellar] and was born Wednesday December the 17th 1845 at fifteen minutes after eleven oclock Ault
Found a visit to Virginia with my wife and John
Left home [now Noble Co., OH] on the 9th of August 1845 and arrived at Mr. Millers [Strasburg, Shenandoah Co., VA] on the 12th Left there on the 17th and arrived hom on the 24 of September
