Deed Book W, Recorder’s Office, Indianola, IA; p. 195: [All spelling, capitalization and punctuation are as found in the original]:
Noah M. Geil to Harrison Keller Know all men by these presents [sic] That we Noah M. Geil and Sophia Geil of Polk County State of Iowa in consideration of the sum of one hundred & fifteen dollars in hand paid do hereby sell and convey unto Harrison Keller of Warren County and State of Iowa the following described premises to wit. The North half of the south half of the south west quarter of the south west quarter of section No. Twenty five (25) in Township No. Seventy seven (77) North of Range Twenty five (25) West of the 5th P M of Iowa containing ten acres of land according to the government survey of the section and lying in Warren County and State of Iowa. And we do hereby covenant with the said Harrison Keller that we are lawfully seized of said premises that they are free from incumbrances [sic], that we have good right and lawful authority to sell the same and we do hereby covenant to warrant and defend the said premises against the lawful claims of all persons whomever and the said Sophia Giel hereby relinquishes all her right of dower in and to the above described premises.

Giel and Sophia Geil personally to me known to be the identical persons whose names are affixed to the above deed as grantors and acknowledged the same to be their voluntary act and deed.
