Josephine Augusta, daughter of Samuel and Marie Burgess, was born in Wapello co., May 26, 1865; was married near Dudley, Nov 5, 1891, to Ben Harding of Eddyville. They resided in Mahaska County for 5 years of their early married life and in 1900 settled on a farm near Chillicothe. She died at home Friday, August 26, 1910, after an illness of 5 years. She is survived by her husband, father, mother, 4 brothers and 3 sisters. Burial IOOF cemetery.
