Kenneth L. Pilcher, 82, of Bettendorf, formerly of Ottumwa, Iowa passed away on Thursday, November 3, 2016 at Unity Point, Bettendorf.

He was born on March 2, 1934 in Ottumwa, IA the son of Harold and Elberta (Smith) Pilcher. Kenneth was united in marriage to Janet Walker on February 28, 1960 in Batavia, IA. He worked at John Deere for many years as a maintenance engineer.

To Kenneth his family was everything, they always came first. He was deeply loved by his family and will be missed every day.

Those left to honor his memory include his loving wife of 56 years, Janet; daughters: Karen Pilcher, Bettendorf and Linda Pilcher, Denver; grandchildren: Leah (Peter) Haugh, Des Moines, Mitchel (Gaby) Gillispie, Joplin, MO, Sarah Gillispie, Bettendorf, Anne Gillispie, Bettendorf, and Emily Gillispie, Bettendorf; and brother, Robert Pilcher, Ottumwa.

Kenneth was preceded in death by his parents, son, Ronald Dean Pilcher and sister, Joyce Jasper.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
