BATAVIA - Jefferson County officers were called to Batavia this morning to investigate the death of Mrs. Beatrice F. Cox, 71.
Jim North, Batavia marshall, found her body outside the back door of her home at approximately 8:30 a.m. today.
The Jefferson County medical examiner said her death was due to natural causes.
Her brother, Marion Pardun, died suddenly at the same home April 27. They made their home together.
Services for Mrs. Cox are pending at the Campbell Funeral Home in Batavia.

BATAVIA - Funeral services for Beatrice F. Cox, 71, of Batavia will be Sunday at 1 p.m. at the Campbell Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Kermit Black officiating. Burial will be in the Batavia Cemetery.
Mrs. Cox died at her home in Batavia on Friday.
She was born Feb. 15, 1907, in Keota, the daughter of Chester and Francis Goodridge Pardun. She had lived all her life in the Ottumwa and Batavia communities.
She was a member of the Batavia Christian Church. She was married to Lon Cox, who died in 1959.
She is survived by one son, Glen Harrod of Ottumwa and one daughter, Karen Cox of Fairfield; five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren and one sister, Masie Millhouse of Batavia.
