Mont Wilson Parsons
Mont Wilson Parsons, 85, of 1911 River St., Burlington, died of cancer at 9:01 a.m. Friday, August 23, 1991, at Burlington Medical Center.
Born December 29, 1905, at Leando, he was the son of Will G. and Perle B. Hanshaw Parsons. He married Ruth E. Johnson Madden on July 1, 1935, in Crown Point, Ind. She died in 1979.
He was retired from the Railway Mail Service. He was later employed at J.S. Schramm Co. He was an active member of the Unitarian Fellowship in Burlington for 35 years.
Survivors include one daughter, Marcia Ruth Parsons, Milwaukee, Wis.; one grandson; two brothers, Milford Parsons and Wesley Parsons, both of Fairfield; and one sister, Lucile Cowan, Oak Ridge, Tenn.
The body is to be cremated.
A memorial service for Mr. Parsons will be at 4 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 14, at the Burlington Unitarian Fellowship, with Mr. Alan Egly officiating. Bural(err) will be in Evergreen Cemetery in Fairfield.
Memorials have been established for the Burlington Unitarian Fellowship and United Nations Association of Burlington.
