OBITUARY - Peter Dieleman Sioux County Herald of August 20, 1874
Died on Monday night last, of cholera morbus, Mr. P. Dieleman one of the first settlers in the Colony and a well know and highly esteemed citizens. To this family sorrow and suffering are not new. For years Mr. D. has been afflicted with rheumatism, and all through the spring and summer of 1873 Mrs. D. suffered from a severe fracture of one of her lower limbs, just above the ankle. In this, their saddest affliction, they have the sympathy of the entire community.
