Education: Attended St. Mary's Grade School, Panama, IA; graduated from Harlan (IA) High School, Class of 1977; then attended Iowa State University, Ames, IA, on a full ROTC scholarship, graduating in 1981.

Religious affiliation: Member of St. Michael's parish, Harlan, IA; served for a time as a Eucharistic minister for Elmcrest Retirement Community, Harlan, IA.

Military service: Was commissioned as an officer in the U.S. Army in 1981 and served for 4 years

Employment: After living in San Antonio, TX for years, Bob returned to Harlan in 2016 to serve as caregiver for his mother. he drove a bus for the Southwest Iowa Transit Agency, driving the night circuit to take workers to their places of employment. Most recently, Bob drove a bus for the Southwest Iowa Transit Agency, driving the night circuit to take workers to their places of employment.

Hobbies/Interests: Enjoyed keeping statistics for the Harlan (IA) Cyclones' baseball and football teams; was a sports junkie and played baseball for the Panama (IA) team. He had a sense of humor and enjoyed making his family members laugh.
