Employment: After her high school graduation Beverly worked as a nurse aide at Jennie Edmundson Hospital, Council Bluffs, IA; after her marriage, she worked as an aide at Bisgard Hospital, Harlan, IA until Mike completed his military service and returned home. She then became a “farmer’s wife” and worked side-by-side with her husband on their farm. After Mike passed in 1991, Beverly started working at Baptist Nursing Home (now Elm Crest Retirement Community) for 6 years before she retired.

Hobbies/Interests: Loved to fish with Mike; enjoyed traveling and took many trips to Minnesota and Canada. Once she retired and after Mike had passed, Beverly traveled some with her sisters-in-law, Bobby, Marjorie and Hazel; enjoyed gardening, putting puzzles together, playing games on the computer, bird-watching, and attending her grandchildren’s activities.
