Employment: Began married life with farming in Iowa. Soon after, they moved to Omaha, NE, where he worked at various grocery stores. He ended his career working for John Morrell as a Sales Representative

Hobbies/Interests: Was involved in his children's activities including being active with the Boy Scouts, encouraging both sons to attain their Eagle Scout award. Family vacations included camping, hiking and other outdoor activities; with Arnella, they loved going to community dances; loved basketball, whether on TV or going to a game; after moving into Ridgewood Senior Living, he loved participating in social events and especially spending time in the chapel: he crafted the 3 wooden crosses that are on display.
