Education: Graduated from St. Patrick Catholic School, Dunlap, IA, and then received her degree from Barne's School of Beauty in Council Bluffs, IA.
Religious affiliation: Baptized and later confirmed her faith at St. Patrick Catholic Church, Dunlap, IA; she was a volunteer for numerous church functions; beginning when she was 12 years old, she regularly played for weekend masses at St. Patrick and later at St Joseph Catholic Church, Earling, IA, but also played for numerous local weddings and funerals, in addition to sing-alongs at the Little Flower Haven Nursing Home in Earling. She was most proud of establishing a children's choir at St Joseph's in the early 1990’s.

Hobbies/Interests: Enjoyed sewing, baking, and playing the piano; enjoyed spending many summers at Lake Okoboji as well as family trips to numerous locations; loved to play Bunco with the ladies once a month; mostly, she loved spending time with family
