Final rites for Mrs. Donald (Evelyn E.) Gless, 64, were held in Durant Jan. 4 with the Rev. David Lawson officiating. Burial was in the Calamus cemetery. Mrs. Gless died at the Davenport Medical center Dec. 31.

The daughter of Herman and Ella Mangels Steffen, she was born in Scott county July 16, 1923. She was married to Donald Gless in Kahoka, Mo. Feb. 20, 1942. He preceded her in death in 1978.

She was a member of the Sunbury camp of the Royal Neighbors of America, the Davenport Moose club and the Gloria Dei Lutheran church, Durant.

She is survived by a son, Dean, Durant; 4 sisters, Edna Holdorf and Helen Creger, both of Blue Grass; Esther Holdorf, Walcott and Elnora Steffen, New Boston, Ill.; 2 brothers, Don and Herman Steffen, both of Davenport and 2 grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a brother.
