MRS. GAIL STRODE
Gail Strode, daughter of Robert and Ella Stephens Bowlby, was born November 8, 1895, near Mount Ayr, and passed away April 3, 1972, of a heart attack in her home in Kellerton at the age of 76 years, four months and 27 days.

On February 1, 1915, she was united in marriage with Roy Strode. They established their home in Kellerton where Mrs. Strode and their son, Robert, continued to live.

Mrs. Strode had been a member of the United Methodist Church for many years. She was a willing helper and will be sadly missed.

She had been a faithful and enthusiastic member of the Kellerton Legion Auxiliary since its organization.

She cared for her aged parents during their last illness.

Mrs. Strode was preceded in death by her husband, Roy, on July 7, 1961, and an infant daughter, Maybelle.

She leaves to mourn her sudden passing her son, Robert, of the home; two brothers, Carr Bowlby of Fresno, Calif. and Cecil Bowlby of Inglewood, Calif. and three sisters, Eva Gifford and Alda Ream of Fresno, Calif. and Sadie Goodell of Kellerton. She will be sadly missed by her family and friends who had long depended upon her ready help and cheerful company.
