Mrs. Eunice G. Butler, whose maiden name was Mosbarger, was born in Braxton County, Va., July 31, 1826. She moved to Ohio, where she was married to Wilson Jacobs, by whom she had one child, a daughter who is still living. After the death of Mr. Jacobs she was married to Abraham H. Butler with whom she moved west and settled in Worth county, Mo, about thirteen miles southwest of Mt. Ayr, and has lived in Worth county, thirty-three years. By her second marriage she became the mother of fourteen children, seven of whom with her husband still survive her. Mrs. Butler has been a member of the M.E. Church or M.E. Church south about thirty six years. Her peace was made with God and her trust was in Him. She died January 21, 1889, and was buried the following day, the funeral sermon being preached at the residence, by Rev. Wm. B. Thompson. A large company of people were present at the services.
