HARLAN BARCLAY

A message was received Saturday by Mrs. E.B. Wall bearing the sad news of the death of her cousin, Harlan Barclay, who passed away that morning at his home near Scobey, Montana. Harlan was the eldest son of Howard Barclay. He grew to manhood in Mount Ayr and for the past few years had been associated with his father in farming near Scobey. Death resulted from influenza. Harlan is survived by his wife, who was formerly, Miss Carrie Norris, and baby about a year old. The announcement of his death brings profound sorrow to the people of Mount Ayr. The father was at Cambria, Iowa at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Earl McClurg, when the death occurred, having come to Iowa to spend the winter, leaving the son and family in charge of the farm.
