OBITUARY

Mrs. Ida TEMPLE died at her home near Homer City, Nebraska, September 14, 1903, aged twenty-three years, six months and twenty-three days, after an illness of about four weeks. She was the fourth daughter of Mr. and Mrs. A.F. HATHAWAY, and had grown to womanhood at their home two miles north of Tingley, and was loved and respected by all who knew her.

She united with the Christian church at Tingley, August 26, 1899, during the ministry of C.E. PILE, and was ever a faithful and devoted christian.

In March, 1902, she was united in marriage with Harland D. TEMPLE, by Rev E.J. WRIGHT, the pastor of the Christian church in Tingley at that time, and immediately moved with her husband to Nebraska. Her life to the people here was as an open book. None could say ought but good of her

During her last illness she was always cheerful and hoping for the best, and had made plans to come as soon as she was able to travel and visit her home here, but before those plans could be carried out she was called to her Heavenly Home, where sickness and death are never known. She realized a few days before her death that she must soon part with this life, and although expressing the wish that she could stay with her loved ones, yet declared her willingness to go if such was the will of her Master.

The remains were brought back to Tingley where the funeral was held September 18, 1903. The service were conducted by Rev. L.C. SWAN, of Mt. Ayr, who spoke words of hope and comfort to the bereaved ones.

She leaves to mourn her loss a loving husband and one little son, Harold Everett, aged eight months, besides father, mother, seven sisters and four brothers, and many other relatives and friends. Interment took place in the Tingley cemetery
