OBITUARY ~ LEOTA MAXINE (LIPPINCOTT) VANDERMARK

Leota Maxine Vandermark was born July 12, 1943 in Des Moines, Iowa to Charles Andrew Lippincott and Maxine (Johnson) Lippincott. After high school Leota was united in marriage to Ralph Richard Vandermark. They lived in the Des Moines area where Leota worked for RHI Printing for the past 25 years. After Ralph’s death in 2003 she later moved to Clarinda and later to Mount Ayr. Leota loved her pets, gambling and spending time with family.

Leota Maxine Vandermark passed away Thursday, December 14, 2017 at the Greater Regional Hospice Home in Creston.

Left to cherish her memory are her daughters Jamerica Vandermark of Mount Ayr, Jamie Daughergy of Des Moines and Julie of Pittsburgh, PA; grandchildren Natayla Rife and Nathaniel Rife of Des Moines; great-granddaughter Addison Rife of Des Moines; niece-in-law Brenda Vandermark of Mount Ayr; great niece Shelby Vandermark of Mount Ayr; best friend Annie Walker.

Leota has been cremated and private family services were held at the funeral home. Burial will be at a later date in the Salem Cemetery in Exline.
