DEATH of MRS. JOHN DUNLAP.

Died, on Friday, April 13, 1894, Mrs. Rebecca DUNLAP, of Mt. Ayr Iowa. Mrs. DUNLAP's maiden name was JARVIS, and she was the daughter of Joel A. JARVIS of Washington township. She was born in Hancock county, Ohio, October, 1870, and removed with her parents to this county in 1872, and grew to womankind in the vicinity of Diagonal. She was married to John Dunlap Nov. 24, 1889, and died aged 23 years 5 months and 11 days. She leaves a husband, and a little son and daughter. Mrs. DUNLAP early united with the M. E. church, and always possessed a devotional spirit. In 1890, she joined the Mt. Ayr Baptist church, and proved herself a faithful devoted member. As a christian, wife, mother and daughter, she was faithful and was respected in all these relations in life. The funeral services took place from the Baptist church on Sunday, April 15th, 1894. Her pastor Rev. D. G. DAILEY officiated. It was indeed a christian funeral. There is much sympathy for Mr. DUNLAP and the motherless children.

NOTE: Rebecca (JARVIS) DUNLAP was interred at Eugene Cemetery. Rebecca and John DUNLAP were the parents of a son, John. Joel A. JARVIS, father of Rebecca (JARVIS) DUNLAP, was born March 31, 1828, and died April 4, 1913. Eliza B. (PARKINSON) JARVIS, wife of Joel A. and mother of Rebecca, was born October 16, 1831, and died December 16, 1915. Joel and Eliza were interred at Bethel Cemetery near Diagonal, Ringgold County, Iowa.
