OBITUARY - Mrs. THOMAS DULL.

Arminda HAMMER, daughter of Rev. John and Jane HAMMER, was born in Des Moines county, Iowa, January 24, 1843, and passed peacefully away at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Mac CLEMONS, in Mount Ayr, Iowa, Tuesday, July 7, 1924, aged 82 years, five months and 13 days.

In the year 1866 she was married to Thomas E. DULL. Two children were born to them - John E. DULL and Mrs. Etta CLEMONS. The husband passed away August 18, 1913, and the son November 5, 1916. She is survived by her daughter, Mrs. Etta CLEMONS, one sister, Mrs. Lucinda NETHEROW, seven grandchildren, one of whom, Thomas E. DULL, who was reared in her home as her own son, ten great grandchildren, many other relatives and a host of friends.

Her father was a Methodist minister and at the age of fourteen she was converted and united with the church and lived a consistent christian life. Twenty-seven years ago Mrs. DULL moved from Albia to Mount Ayr and until her last illness was a faithful attendant at the services of the church. During her long illness she was patient and resigned, looking forward to the end with that trusting faith which characterized her life.

For every kindness shown during the long illness and on the occasion of the death and funeral we are profoundly grateful. The neighbors were so kind and good in their efforts to comfort and cheer our loved one by sending flowers and offering words of comfort and consolation, and in kindly acts, that words fail to express our appreciation. We assure you all that we appreciate to the fullest extent every kindness shown.

NOTE: Thomas E. DULL, husband of Arminda (HAMMER), was born January 30, 1844, and died August 18, 1913. Thomas and Arminda were interred at Rose Hill Cemetery, Mount Ayr, Ringgold County, Iowa. John E. DULL, son of Thomas E. and Arminda (HAMMER), was born March 2, 1870, and died November 5, 1916 with interment at Rose Hill Cemetery.
