Italy15th ARMY AIR FORCE--Second Lieutenant Milton J. Grosenbach, 25, former resident of RFD 2, Grinnell, who is now a bombardier on the 15th Army Air Force Liberator bomber, has been awarded the Air Medal, it was announced by 15th Army Air Force Headquarters.
This honor was bestowed upon him "For meritorious achievement in aerial flight while participating in sustained operational activities against the enemy." Lt. Grosenbach is stationed in Italy with a 15th AAR Liberator bombardment group which has been combing German-held targets in Austria, Romania and northern Italy.
Lt. Grosenbach is married to the former Cleta Arnold. He attended the University of Iowa in 1941. While at school he played on the football, track, and baseball teams. Before entering the service Lt. Grosenbach was employed as a carpenter by Miller & Lindhorst, Contractors of Grinnell.
