GREAT-GRANDSON OF
CHIEF POWESHIEK WILL
ATTEND CELEBRATION

O. dale Smith announces that as part of his display in the parade Wednesday afternoon he has secured the presence of Jim Poweshiek, who is the 80 year old great-grandson of Chief Poweshiek from whom Poweshiek county takes its name. Jim is coming down from the Tama reservation in full Indian finery and will add a distinct historical touch to the proceedings of the day.
