A CORN PICKERJoseph Van Quekelburghe, son of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Van Quekelburghe, was the victim of a tragic accident which took place Tuesday afternoon on his father's farm near Hartwick.
The young man's left hand was amputated in the husking roller of a corn picker. He was taken to Victor and from there was brought to the St. Francis hospital in Grinnell, where an operation was performed immediately.
