Funeral services for Leo Garrison, 74, a native of Wilton, were held at Muscatine Oct. 31 with Capt. Paul Thompson of the Salvation Army officiating. Burial was in Greenwood cemetery with military rites. Mr. Garrison died at Muscatine General hospital Oct. 27.
The son of Frank and Alice Chamberlin Garrison, he was born in Wilton July 20, 1914. He married Ellen Empline Moore in Kahoka, Mo. May 5, 1932. He was a veteran of World War II.
He is survived by 3 sons, Leo Jr., Columbus Junction; Jewell A., Wapello and Richard Lee, Wilton; a stepson, William A. Phillips, Stanwood; 3 daughters, Leola Garner, Columbus Junction, Mrs. James (Charlene) Cozad and Mrs. John (Roberta) McCormick, Muscatine; 4 stepdaughters, Mrs. Burton (Juanita) West, Mrs. Charles (JoAnn) Luttrull and Mrs. Eddie (Jackie) Brown, Muscatine and Mrs. Wayne (Rozita) Bergen, Denmark; grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife in 1985, a son, a stepdaughter, 5 brothers and a sister.
