Funeral services for Dale E. Steffen, 53, Stockton, were held June 20 at Our Lady of Victory Catholic church, Davenport. The Rev. William Meyer officiated with burial in the Durant cemetery. Pallbearers were Terry Carson, Richard Steffen, Gary Holdorf, Don Steffen Jr., Jerry Creger and Ryan Goethals. A memorial fund has been established.

Mr. Steffen, who died at his home June 17, was born Dec. 12, 1933 at Blue Grass to Herman and Ella Mangels Steffen. He married Marilyn Goethals at Big Rock May 17, 1958. He was a member of the church and the Davenport Moose Lodge. He had been employed at Ralston Purina as a machine operator for the past 33 years.

Survivors include his wife, 5 daughters, Mrs. Jeff (Corinne) Marshall, Durant; Mrs. Daryl (Irene) Stimmel, Wilton; Linda Steffen, Davenport; Mrs. Gary (Brenda) Lange, Grinnell and Lorriane Steffen, Davenport; 2 grandchildren, 2 brothers, Don and Herman Steffen, Davenport and 5 sisters, Evelyn Gless, Durant; Mrs. Virgil (Helen) Creger and Mrs. Ray (Edna) Holdorf, Blue Grass; Mrs. Elwin (Esther) Holdorf, Walcott and Mrs. Dale (Elnora) Steffen, New Boston, Ill.

He was preceded in death by his parents and 1 brother.
