Funeral services for Donald J. Wiese, 71, West Liberty, were held in Davenport May 18 with burial in Pine Hill cemetery. Mr. Wiese died at the Veterans Administration hospital, Iowa City, May 15.

He was married to Irna Schultz in Davenport in 1947. She died in 1970. He was an independent truck driver until 1970 when he began work in the maintenance department of Mercy hospital, Davenport. In 1975 he began to work for the S&M Farm Service, Walcott, retiring in 1980.

He is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Merle (Marcia) Keppy, Eldridge; a son, Ron, Tipton and 3 grandchildren.
