Services for Alfred John Meggison, 73, Villisca, were Wednesday at Wolfe Funeral Home, Villisca. The Rev. Al Hutchings officated and birial was in the Villisca Cemetery, Villisca..

He died Sunday, November 6, 1988 ath Villisca Good Samaritan Center.

He was born July 31, 1915, at Ness City, Kan. to Edwin and Mary Rankin Meggison. He married LaVerne Johnson at Villiaca Dec/ 17, 1965.

Mr. Meggison worked in coal mines for 11 years, was a truck driver for six years and worked for Burlington Northern Railroad for 28 1/2 years. He lived in Gravity before moving to Villisca in 1963.

Survivors include hif wife, two stepsons, Dennis Scott and Doug Scott, both of Villiaca, four step daughters, Kathy Solt of Villisca, Kay Matheny of Anita, Diana Freshour of Remington, Wash. and Doris Marshall of Reedsport, Ore. 11 step grandchildren, one brother, Floyd Meggison of Stanton, two sisters, Hazel Henton of Grimes and Mary Henton of Omaha.
