The Chariton Leader, Chariton, Iowa
Thursday, April 9, 1908A pretty home wedding took place, Wednesday evening, at the home of the
bride's parents, MR. and MRS. J.W. CLAYTON, when their daughter, ESSIE, was
united in marriage to CHESTER H. MCCOLLOUGH. At eight o'clock the bride and
groom took their places in the parlor, which had been beautifully decorated
for the occasion, where Rev. W.D. Stratton, Pastor of the United Brethren
Church, spoke the words which united their lives and their fortunes.Following congratulations, a dainty luncheon was served. The bride is a
modest and refined young lady, possessing many good qualities, which
characterize a useful life. The groom is a prosperous young farmer and has
a house already prepared for his bride, near Melrose. The Leader joins their many friends in wishing them a happy and prosperous
life.
