Henry Leo “Sonny” Conway, Jr., 77, of Whiting, Iowa, passed away Thursday, August 31, 2023, at his residence.

A memorial graveside service will be 10:30 A.M. Friday, September 29, 2023 at the Fairview Township Cemetery, Albaton, Iowa, with Father Michael Erpelding, celebrant, officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Goslar Funeral Home and Monuments, Onawa, Iowa.

Henry Leo Jr. was born June 18, 1946, the son of Henry Leo Sr. and Esther (Christianson) Conway. Henry proudly served in the United States Military.

Henry and Barbara Geralyn Engel were united into marriage on June 27, 1992, at the St. Boniface Catholic Church, Sioux City, Iowa. The couple made their home near Whiting, Iowa. Barbara passed away on May 15, 2015, in Sioux City, Iowa.

Henry is survived by several family members and friends.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara Conway; parents, Henry Sr. and Esther (Christianson) Conway, and his parents-in-law, Norman and Jean (Lefler) Engel.
