Walters, Emily H. Dies In Accident 1894

Mrs. Emily H. Walters, an old resident of Marysville died Sunday, June 3, of heart failure, aged about 55 years.

Mrs. Walters, accompanied by a young lady was driving to church Sunday morning. The team became frightened and overturned the vehicle, throwing Mrs. Walters and her companion to the ground. They were not injured by the fall and started after the team, which was a short distance ahead. The young lady being fleeter of foot succeeded in capturing the team and on returning to get Mrs. Walters found her lying in the road and life extinct. The excitement and exertion of following the runaway team was too much for her. Walters and it is supposed to have caused her death, as there was no evidence of injuries received from the fall. She was a sister-in-law to the late I.H. Walters of this city.
