On Tuesday morning at four o’clock after many months of patient suffering, John McDonald crossed the river of death, being fully prepared for the journey that awaits everyone.

He was with Mr. and Mrs. John McMannus during his entire sickness. His sister, Miss Belle McDonald, came several months ago to his bedside and every thing was done that warm hearts and tender hands could do to alleviate his sufferings and make his last days pleasant. His body will be interred in St. Patrick’s cemetery on Thursday.
