Betty Jo Wiedmann, 93 of Norwalk lost her battle with cancer on December 12, 2023 at the Trinity Lutheran Care Facility in Des Moines.

Elizabeth Josephine was born in Indianola Iowa on September 26, 1930 to Joseph and Esther Fitzpatrick. She married Daniel (Pat) Wiedmann in September of 1950.

They are survived by Five children: Mike (Donna) Wiedmann, Mary Jo Wiedmann, Gary (Jo) Wiedmann, Jeniece (Jon) Davis, and Bill (Kendra) Wiedmann; 11 grandchildren; and 16 great grandchildren (with another on the way), all of which thought of her as a great joy.

Betty was a wife, mother, and homemaker until 1980 when she went to work for Principal Financial. She was a member of St. Patrick's Parish Settlement for 73 years. She will be dearly missed by her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and numerous friends.

Per her wishes, Betty's earthly remains were cremated. A celebration of life will be held at a later date, when the weather is warmer and all family members can be together to celebrate Betty's life.
