Fern Clouse Lundy, 85, passed away Wednesday, November 7, 2012 at the Lucas County Health Center in Chariton. A celebration of Fern's life will be held Sunday, November 11, 2012 from 12 to 2 p.m. where family will receive friends at the Pierschbacher Funeral Home in Chariton. Memorials are requested to the Lucas County Humane Society. Online condolences for the family may be left at www.pierschbacherfuneralhome.com .
Fern worked as a RN for many years at the VA and as a private nurse.
She loved helping and taking care of people as a nurse and especially as a mother and grandmother.
Surviving Fern are her husband of nearly 64 years, Walter Lundy; children: Gail (Betty) Lundy of Des Moines, Marva (Pete) Marasco of Des Moines; Gary (Sara) Lundy of Chariton; and Marlo Lundy of Chariton; 13 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. Also surviving are a sister, Lou Bringman of Iowa City; and many relatives and friends from the south side of Des Moines and Chariton.
