(Muscatine) Mrs. W. D. Vanatta, known to a number of Wapello people, died at Hershey hospital in Muscatine Sunday evening where she underwent a surgical operation two weeks ago. The deceased was the only daughter of Mr. and Mrs. A. H. Klepper, of Sweetland township, and spent the greater part of her life there, until on October 15, 1903, she married W. D. Vanatta, of Muscatine. She was born March 24, 1883 and was the only daughter born in the Klepper family for the past seventy-five years. She was idolized by a large circle of relatives. A number from this place attended the funeral.
