New Priest Arrives Sacred Heart Parish

Rev. Father Klassen of Cedar Rapids arrived the take charge of Sacred Heart church during the summer months. Rev. James Craney, who has been here for the past eight months, ever since the death of his brother, L. P. Craney, filled his engagement here Sunday for the last time.

The Rev. Father L. W. Klassen, of Cedar Rapids has been assigned to the pastorate of Sacred Heart Catholic church, arriving here last Wednesday, and saying his first Mass here on Thursday morning.
Father Klassen is a son of Mr. and Mrs. John P. Klassen of Cedar Rapids. He attended Columbia College in Dubuque, and completed his theological training in St. Mary’s Seminary in Baltimore, Md. He was ordained on June 14, at Dubuque by Archbishop Francis J. L. Beckman, and this is his first assignment.
