DEATH OF AGED LADY.
Mrs. Frank Becker Passed Away Wednesday
After Illness of Several Months, Aged 75.

Mrs. Frank Becker passed away Wednesday at the home of her daughter, Mrs. David Stewart. She had been ill during the past five months, suffering with leakage of the heart and dropsy. She was a good Christian woman, loved by all who knew her and had been a resident of this county for over forty years.

She was born in Germany, May 16, 1852. In 1870, she was united in marriage to Frank Becker and in 1883 they came to LuVerne, where Mr. Becker was employed on the railroad for a number of years. They later moved to Algona where Mr. Becker engaged in truck farming and then moved to the Ben Reed farm southwest of the city. Mr. Becker died in 1918. Since then Mrs. Becker lived in Algona and during her illness, made her home with her daughter, Mrs. David Stewart.

Eight children were born to them, two of whom died in infancy. She leaves four daughters, Mrs. Martha Stewart, of Algona; Mrs. Anna Taylor, Bancroft; Mrs. Lizzie Koppen and Mrs. Gertie Koppen, of Lakota; and two sons, August of Lakota and Martin of Irvington, besides twenty-nine grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Friday at the Algona Catholic church, Father Davern officiating, and burial was made in St. Cecelia’s cemetery.
