Dianne Carol (Wessels) Angle 1943-2022

Dianne Carol (Wessels) Angle, the daughter of Roy and Pearl (Davis) Wessels, was born October 9, 1943, in Thompson, Iowa. She died Friday, May 20, 2022, at Accura Healthcare in Bancroft, Iowa, at the age of 78.

She received her education in the Thompson schools where she graduated from Thompson High School.

On July 18, 1959, she was united in marriage to John "Jack" Angle. Three children, Tim, Brenda and Staci, were born to this union. The family made their home in Swea City, Iowa for a few years then moved to their farm north of Swea City in 1961. Dianne was a mom, homemaker and together Jack and Dianne started their business, Tools-N-Toys, in 1982. Throughout the years, they spent many weekends at Toy Shows. In her leisure time she enjoyed reading, listening to country music, various outdoor activities, flower gardening and mowing. Dianne hated to cook so her Schwan’s man was her cook.

Dianne was a devoted member of the United Methodist Church in Swea City where she was a past Sunday School Teacher and she was an active member of the United Methodist Women. She also served as Harrison Township Cemetery Clerk for many years. Jack died April 18, 2019.

Left to cherish Dianne's memory are her children, Tim (Mary) Angle of Swea City, Brenda (Rick) Hagedorn of Lakota, Iowa, Staci (Mike) Looft of Armstrong, Iowa; grandchildren, great grandchildren and special friend, Francis Rotterman.

Preceding Dianne in death were her husband; her parents; sister, Virginia Joos and brothers, Jerome and Roy "Junior" Wessels.

Graveside services were held Monday, May 23, 2002, at the Harrison Township Cemetery at Swea City, with Pastor Todd Hartsock officiating.
