From Eliza's obit in 1913: She was born in Madison, Indiana in 1848, one year old when came to Iowa, married Benton Myers in 1869, her death resulted from an operation, a sister Mrs. JO Devitt was listed. From Emory's obit in 1902: born Rome NY in 1848, enlisted in Co G 1st Reg. sharpshooters at age of 18, was disabled from his service, was a carpenter by trade, married 1870 to Eliza Foster who died 1871 leaving an infant dau., married Angeline Whitten in 1874, she died 1889 leavign 3 sons and one dau., in 1895 married Eliza Whitten who survived him. He was employed by the railroad.
