My gggrandfather, Charles E Cline was arrested in Oct 1895 (per Adams County Free Press), sentenced for 5 years & ultimately was a prisoner in Iowa State Penitentiary in Anamosa. I need to verify this information. He is listed on a 1900 census for Adams County as a prisoner, divorced. I would like to obtain court records, as well as prison records. I believe he died (according to Death Index 1903 in Iowa.
