Monticello is getting to be the wickedest town in the state. Shooting affrays, domestic infelicity and drunkenness are reported weekly from that ballwick. The latest from the great moral center, where there are no saloons, is a drunken row in which a German butcher names Herman Zubhler was stabbed by Jake Carmichael. The poor quality of drug store whiskey is to blame for it.
