Mary Louise Wendler was born April 24, 1932, in Red Wing, Minnesota, the daughter of Roland and Laura Mae (Burnham) Wendler. The family resided in Fort Dodge, Iowa for many years where Marilu attended schools and later graduated there in 1950. She then attended North Central Bible Institute (now North Central University) in Minneapolis, MN. On June 28, 1952, she was united in marriage to Wayne Edward Jameson in Fort Dodge. Wayne’s calling was to the ministry. Therefore, Marilu was more than a mother and wife, but also ministered alongside her husband in various roles, especially to children and to youth. She received her ministerial credentials when she was 70 years old. They pastored churches in Arcadia and Burton Nebraska, in Gray, Atlantic, and Muscatine, Iowa, and in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. In retirement the couple moved to Iowa City to be near family.

Her family includes her husband, Wayne; their three daughters, Diane Jameson, Donna Jameson-Hayslett (Dan) and Denise Reed (Phil); grandchildren, Danielle Wildeboer (Josh), Dustin Estabrook (Kara), Laura Reed and Hope Reed; great-grandchildren, Emma, Hunter, Esther, and David Wildeboer, Benjamin, Jameson, Gavin and Lillian Estabrook, and Ruby Behr-Lyons; step-granddaughters, Lindsay Kidwell (Casey) and Chelsy Hayslett; step-greatgrandchildren, Mila, Calvin, Lincoln, and Harper Kidwell; and Marilu’s brother, Charles Wendler (Chris) and their children, Christopher (Carol) Wendler and Michelle (Jeff) Barlow.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and great-granddaughter, Grace Estabrook.
