John Markham, 62, of Iowa City and formerly of Cedar Rapids, passed away on August 23, 2024 at University of Iowa Hospital-Downtown.

John was born on August 30, 1961 in Cedar Rapids to Dennis and Marcella (Ostern) Markham. He was a carpenter for several years. In his spare time he enjoyed antiquing and spending time with his dogs and cats.

John is survived by his mother, Marcella; siblings: Tom Markham, Daniel Markham and Marie (John) Luke. He was preceded in death by his father.

Per John’s request, cremation has been accorded and a celebration of life will be held at a later date.
