Remember When:
Silent Grounds Keepers: I'm guessing that for 40+ years, and counting . . . Ron and Virginia Stutsman had taken care of the grounds and lawn of the church. Master Gardener, Virginia is a past Grounds Committee chairperson. Each year in the spring weeds in the front flower beds would disappear and in their place flowers would appear and thrive. Bushes would be trimmed and mulch would be added to the gardens. I discovered it was Virginia who would do that for us. Ron would apply weed and feed around the grounds and in the cemetery too. Between the two of them they exemplify what the Biblical writers wrote about giving. "Don't let your right hand know what your left hand is doing." Virginia and Ron have retired from their "silent gardening" at the church. Thank you Virginia and Ron for your YEARS of silent service. By Janet Wilson
