I checked Jan 1870-June 1880 marriages and did not find any Darden / Johnson marriage record for you.

1880-1899 Marriages
No Darden / Johnson marriage

1856 head of household
George Darden Polk TWP 36 TN has 10 people in his home and has been here for 11 years

1848 voters first presidential election in which Iowa could participate:

#5 person to vote was George Darden.

Original land records / Polk TWP
George Darden pg 38 Dec 3 1849 152 acres
William C. Darden pg 38 May 8th 1847 40 acres

This is all that I could find for you here at home.
