Death Comes To Miss HUFSTEDLER

Myrtle HUFSTEDLER, lifetime resident of Fairfield, died Sunday at the Jefferson county hospital. Her death came at 8 a.m. after a serious illness of the past week. She had been in failing health the past year.

Funeral services will be on Wednesday at 2 p.m. at the Raymond funeral home with Edward Esler in charge. Burial will be in Evergreen cemetery.

Myrtle HUFSTEDLER, 87, was born Sept. 9, 1876, in Jefferson county, the daughter of John and Caroline COWLES HUFSTEDLER. Her father and the late W. R. Baker operated the Hufstedler and Baker department store on the northeast corner of the square many years ago.

Miss HUFSTEDLER, a resident of Fairfield all her life, was a seamstress and a hat maker before her retirement. Her home was at 304 W. Burlington. She was a member of the Presbyterian church.

Miss HUFSTEDLER is survived by two grand nephews. She was preceded in death by two sisters.

Notice Is Hereby Given, that the undersigned has been duly appointed and qualified as Executor of the estate of Myrtle C. HUFSTEDLER deceased, late of Jefferson County. All persons indebted to said estate are requested to make immediate payment, and those having claims against the same will present them within legal time, duly authenticated, to the undersigned, for allowance and file in the office of the Clerk of the District Court.
