Mrs. Susan HILLIS Is Dead in Omaha

Keokuk, Ia., Aug. 8--(U.P.)-- Word was received here today of the death of Mrs. Susan S. HILLIS, 82, Omaha, Neb., daughter of the late Dr. J. M. SHAFFER, first secretary of the Iowa state fair board.

Mrs. HILLIS formerly was deputy clerk of the federal court at Omaha.

Note: Believed to be buried in Evergreen Cemetery, Fairfield, IA, in Lot Old.P.170. Her husband was Oscar B. HILLIS, who died in 1899 in Omaha, Neb., and was buried in St. Paul, MN. Both Susan and Oscar have gravestones in Evergreen, however, as do two of their daughters, Eloise and Madalene.
