During high school, Marvin helped Keith Fisch farm. He then worked for Milo Heck Tiling, Donaldson’s along with Kinze before starting his own business in 1996, MT’s Backhoeing and Tiling. He enjoyed fishing, especially with his grandchildren, going on salmon fishing trips, mushroom hunting, ranger rides, talking with friends, gardening, and tinkering in his shop with his grandchildren nearby. He was a great metal worker and enjoyed fixing and making things for his family. He also enjoyed hosting his annual shop parties. He was a member of the D & P Mushroom Club. But above all, family was his greatest joy and Poppy was the name his grandchildren gave him. He also had a great love for his dog, Abby.
