It is with great sadness that we share the passing of Constance “Connie” Marie (Meade) Frohling who passed away on December 15 at 74 years old. Connie resided in Raymore, MO., formerly of Grand Island, NE. Her funeral mass will be held in Williamsburg, IA. at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, December 21, 2024, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church with Father Francis Mensah officiating. Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m., Friday, December 20, 2024, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Williamsburg. Burial will be at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Williamsburg. Memorials may be directed to the Alzheimer’s Foundation of America. Kloster Funeral Home, Marengo is caring for Connie and her family.

Connie was born in Holbrook, IA., to William “Bill” and Doloris (Fee) Meade . She spent her childhood playing with her siblings Jeanne and Tom on the family farm. Upon her completion of high school in Williamsburg, IA., she continued to earn her BA in Math Education from the University of Northern Iowa. In 1973 at Bennington High School in Bennington, NE, Connie began her career in education. She continued her own education completing a Masters in Education from the University Nebraska at Omaha. In the summer of 1979, Connie taught summer school for Omaha Public Schools and met the love of her life, Henrick “Kurt” Frohling. Connie and Kurt were wed on July 25, 1980 and moved to Grand Island, NE where they had two children Andrew and Nicole. While her children were young, Connie chose to work as a stay-at-home mom, where she helped to shape two beautiful humans. In 1990 she continued her career as an educator at Grand Island Senior High. During her 20 years at Grand Island Senior High, she taught and motivated hundreds of students leaving a legacy of her brilliance and kindness in each student’s life she touched. Connie was a passionate teacher who believed in the power of education.

Connie’s love and support was evident in her constant presence at home with her family. She attended every music and athletic event where her family was involved. You could always find Connie in the stands cheering on her husband or children while grading papers. She was active in her church, Blessed Sacrament, where she taught Sunday school. Kurt and Connie retired in 2010 and moved to Raymore MO., in 2012. They spent their retirement vacationing and visiting their family. Connie adored her grand-children: Lila, Sophia, Eden, Clay, and Thomas. Connie was always full of joy and laughter, brightening the lives of everyone lucky enough to have known her. She was proceeded in death by her parents William “Bill” and Doloris (Fee) Meade. She is survived by her sister Jeanne and her husband Kevin Wardenburg, brother Tom and his wife Sandy Meade, husband Henrick “Kurt” Frohling, children Nicole Frohling and Andrew and his wife Krista Frohling, and grandchildren Lila, Sophia, Eden, Clay, and Thomas.
