Floyd Jr. Stevens, age 60, of Ida Grove, Iowa passed away on Monday, May 7, 2018, at his residence of Ida Grove, Iowa. No services are planned at this time. The Christensen -Van Houten Funeral Home of Ida Grove, Iowa is in charge of arrangements. Floyd Jr. Stevens, the son of Floyd and Maxine (McDonald) Stevens, was born on August 8, 1957, in Onawa, Iowa. Floyd grew up in the Mondamin, Iowa area where he attended high school. During his high school years Floyd worked off and on for the area’s local farmers as a farm hand. In 1975, Floyd became disabled. During these years Floyd’s love of animals, the great outdoors, and fishing grew. He also cherished his time spent with family and friends. Floyd is survived by his siblings William “Bill” (Linda) Stevens of Missouri Valley, Iowa, Tim (Candie) Stevens of Lincoln, Nebraska, Elaine (Gary) Farris of Little Sioux, Iowa and Gloria Smith of Ida Grove, Iowa; many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents Floyd Sr. and Maxine Stevens; a sister in infancy (1963), brother Jeff Stevens (1989); and sister Joan Sabotka (1999).
