Funeral services for Mrs. Alice Belle Smith, 69, of Des Moines, a former Livermore resident, were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, June 18, at the Presbyterian Church in Livermore. Interment was in Union Cemetery at Livermore.
The Lindhart Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. Keith Strayer officiated at the services.
Mrs. Smith passed away Sunday morning, June 16, at the Methodist Hospital at Des Moines after she had been admitted Tuesday, June 4.
Casket bearers were Richard Cran, Harold Gronbach, Tommy Kissinger, Jack Ferguson, John Olson, and LeRoy Gronbach.
Survivors include a son, Burrell Smith of Livermore; two daughters, Mrs. John Hosford of Livermore and Mrs. Robert Johnson of Des Moines; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; three brothers, Ray Coffman, Virgil Coffman, and William Coffman, all of Milo, Iowa; and also a sister, Ica Luffoon of Des Moines,
Mrs. Smith was born June 5, 1899, at Des Moines, the former Alice Belle Coffman. She received her education in Warren County, and married Albert Smith in 1927 at Waterloo. The couple resided at Milo until September 1828, when they came to Livermore.
Mr. Smith died in 1952 and Mrs. Smith continued to live in Livermore until 1952, when she went to reside with her daughter in Des Moines.
